Lavoie bansuris are made from grenadilla or mopane essences, which are recognized for their exceptional sound qualities. These flutes are manufactured by combining digital machining and hand work, which gives our flutes great precision, consistency between each of them with at the same time a personal touch. Slightly heavier than bamboo flutes, the drilling of the holes is however similar to the latter, which therefore does not require adaptation for those who have already mastered the bansuri.

        The holes of our basic models are aligned but we can on request make offsets for more comfort depending on the dimensions of your fingers, more particularly for the Sa and Pa holes. For professional concert players, we can also provide a cap /brass crown, which will give more focus and power to your instrument.
